We specialise in building timber decking to any shape or size.  Decking gives a great feel under foot and can transform outdoor living.  People with decking use it as an 'outside room' and it's a great place to relax or entertain friends & family.

Decking is also the perfect answer to gardens or patio areas that are otherwise unusable because of their size or a slope or a drop in level.  Wooden decking is also very child friendly - no scraped knees!

The deck boards we use are non slip & have the face of the board machined away leaving ribs proud of the surface.  Take a look at the decking photos page to see a picture.

Our decks are built properly - no compromise whatsoever.  Built to the same (or better) specifications as the floors in your house.  We use 28mm thick Scandinavian Redwood decking boards which are Tanalised (impregnated with wood preservative in a vacuum pressure timber impregnation plant).

Pressure treated, heavy duty 6" x 2" timber bearers, coach bolts or construction grade joist hangers, boards screwed in place, not nailed. 

Our decks do not move, bounce or wobble!

Last year we built a deck to hold a hot tub weighing over two tonnes - not a single creak, bounce or wobble!

Because we buy our decking timber & joists direct from a timber importer rather than a DIY superstore, we can offer very reasonable prices.  Believe it or not, buying a Decking Kit from a DIY store and assembling it yourself could actually cost more than having us build from scratch!

From 1 October 2008 putting up decking, or other raised platforms, in your garden is permitted development, not needing an application for planning permission, providing:

1) The decking is no more than 30cm above the ground
2) Together with other extensions, outbuildings etc, the decking or platforms cover no more than 50 per cent of the garden area.

In our fully equipped workshop we can build pergolas, gazebo's, arches, seating, obelisks or any other garden structure you can imagine, to any size you choose.  We can fit them as well.  Unusual items like BBQ shelters are not a problem, we can design to your requirements.  Please call for a free quote.
